TALENTED AUSTRALIAN TEST BATSMAN PHILLIP HUGHES PASSES AWAY

Phillip Hughes one of the most talented young batsmen to emerge from Australia has passed away after being hit by a bouncer while playing a match in the Australian domestic Sheffield Shield match as per news reports from NDTV. Phillip Hughes was supposed to play against India in the first test match starting on December 4th but his untimely death would be a blow to the Australian team and cricket fans all over the world.

He made his test debut at a very young age of 20 back in 2009 and considering most players who make it to the national team in Australia have always been a bit older. This happened because of this talent as young prodigy. During his international carrier he played 26 Tests and scored 1535 runs. He was seen as an emerging test player for long run in Australia. Before he was hit by the bouncer, he was at unbeaten 63 runs. And an unfortune brought the time to a standstill.

His untimely death would again spark a fierce debate about player’s safety, but even after having some of the best protective gear these accidents sometimes happen and no one could be blamed. Phillip Hughes was hit on the head by a fast delivery bowled by Sean Abbot. Phillip Hughes was 25 years old and with his passing a bright, young and promising career has come to a sad end.

Indian team as well as BCCI has paid tribute to Phillip Hughes. Entire nation and cricket fans around the world started showering tribute to social media sites. Gilchrist tweets” No No No No, RIP Phillip Hughes”. There is a test match going on between New Zealand and Pakistan and both the boards have decided to suspend today’s innings. They will resume tomorrow. It’s incredibly a sad day for all the cricketing nations. Entire UTS team is sad hearing the sad news. RIP Phillip Hughes.
