Prime Minister Narendra Modi won "Champion of Earth Award" by United Nations Environment

United Nations Environment awarded French President Emmanuel Macron for putting climate agenda at the top in his foreign agenda.

Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi won "Champion of Earth Award 2018" alongwith French President Emmanuel Macron for their leadership in promotion of solar energy. UN Environment awarded this award to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his environmental leadership on the global stage.

United Nations Environment awarded French President Emmanuel Macron for putting climate agenda at the top in his foreign agenda. He also recognised for championing the International Solar Alliance and promoting international cooperation on environmental action and his leadership role on the Global pacts for the Environment.
